Sea-kayaking around Anglesey

Almost all Anglesey trips are strongly influenced by the state of the tide, as the tidal range can
be up to 10 metres, with tidal rips reaching 8 knots in some areas
- The difference between conditions at low and high water may just mean a longer walk
down the beach carrying or trolleying your kayak
- Or, if you pick the wrong state of the tide, it could mean that accessibility is almost prohibitive or having to wade through mud
- Once on the water, you must always be aware of the strong tidal flows and their resulting effect on sea conditions
